PrepAndJob ("we", "us") helps candidates prepare for technical interviews and helps recruiters run structured assessments. This policy explains what data we collect when you use prepandjob.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
Account information: your name, email address, and authentication identifier, whether you sign up with an email and password or with Google sign-in (handled by Firebase Authentication).
Resume content: when you upload a resume, we extract the text from the file and store that text in our database. We do not keep the original PDF or Word file — only the extracted text is retained.
Interview and practice data: your answers to AI-generated practice questions and mock interview sessions, along with the feedback and scores generated for them.
Progress and usage data: which domains and questions you've worked through, your plan and readiness progress, and timestamps of activity within the product.
Payment metadata: your subscription status, plan, trial and renewal dates, and invoice records. Your card number and other payment credentials are entered directly with our payment processor, Monobank, and never pass through or get stored on our servers.
Recruiter workspace data: if you use a recruiter account, the companies, assessment templates, and candidate invitations you create. If you are a candidate invited by a recruiter, the assessment results tied to that invitation.
Optional Telegram link: if you choose to connect a Telegram account to receive notifications, we store the chat identifier needed to send you messages. This is entirely opt-in.
To provide the core service: authenticating you, storing and showing your resume feedback, running practice sessions and mock interviews, tracking your progress, and processing subscription payments.
To operate the recruiter workspace: letting a recruiter invite a candidate, generate an assessment, and view that candidate's results for the assessment they were invited to.
To communicate with you: transactional messages about your account, billing, or (if you opted in) Telegram status notifications. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Resume analysis, mock interview feedback, and practice question generation are powered by Google's Generative AI API (Gemini/Gemma). To provide these features, the relevant text — your resume content and/or your interview answers — is sent to Google's API for processing and a response is returned to you.
Google processes this data under its own API terms and privacy commitments as our data processor for this purpose; we do not control Google's infrastructure but we do not authorize use of this data to train Google's general-purpose models beyond what Google's API terms provide.
If a recruiter invites you to complete an assessment, the answers and results you produce for that specific assessment become visible to the recruiter (and their company workspace) that invited you. This sharing is limited to the assessment you were invited to — it does not expose your account, your general practice history, or resumes you've uploaded outside that context.
Google / Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), application hosting, and the Generative AI API used for resume and interview analysis.
Monobank — payment processing for subscriptions. Monobank handles your card details directly; we only receive confirmation of payment and status.
Telegram — only if you explicitly link your account, to deliver status notifications you asked for.
We use a session cookie (set by Firebase Authentication) to keep you signed in, and a locale preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your chosen language. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on this site.
We keep your account, resume text, interview data, and progress data for as long as your account is active. We do not currently run an automated deletion schedule. If you want your data deleted, contact us (see below) and we will delete or anonymize it, subject to what we need to keep for legal, tax, or billing-dispute purposes.
You can ask us to access, export, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing privacy@prepandjob.com. We handle these requests manually today — there is no self-service export or deletion button in the product yet. We will respond and act within a reasonable time.
PrepAndJob is a job-interview preparation tool intended for adults and job-seeking young adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud / Firebase, which may process and store data in data centers outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. By using PrepAndJob you understand your data may be processed in these locations, under the safeguards Google provides as a data processor.
We rely on Firebase Authentication and Firestore's access controls, and we don't store raw payment card data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do; material changes will be communicated on this page.
